BANKSIDE 52 NOT OUT
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined me for the private view of my solo exhibition, BANKSIDE 52 NOT OUT. It was a truly wonderful evening, filled with inspiring conversations and the joy of connecting with so many art lovers and fellow artists. Your presence made the event unforgettable.
The show continues until the end of January, and I’m delighted to share that many works have already found new homes in the first week alone. If you're in the market for original, one-of-a-kind pieces, I encourage you to visit soon—this is a perfect opportunity to secure something special.
Thank you again for your support, and I look forward to welcoming more of you throughout the exhibition. See you soon!
Why I Paint.
As an artist, my journey is about capturing life’s twists and transformations and honoring the energy of a world that’s always changing. Having lived for over 50 years in the same street in Bankside, London, I’ve seen this community evolve, and those changes have become the heartbeat of my work.
Through bold colours and textured shapes, I’m driven to capture those moments that stay with us—the nostalgia, the joy, and even the loss. My art seeks to express the delicate space between "then" and "now," with a sense of wonder about the future. I want people to feel the energy and beauty of this place, to capture that sense of being here right now, and how each moment brings its own richness.
Inspired by artists like John Piper, Maurice Utrillo, and John Burningham, I paint the character and mystery of Victorian warehouses, bustling markets, and the riverfront. Every piece is a tribute to the city’s timelessness, weaving together memories, the present, and hints of what’s yet to come.
Now, with three young kids of my own with my childhood sweetheart, I paint not only for myself but also for them. My hope is to leave behind a legacy that captures the unique spirit of Bankside—so they, and everyone who sees my work, can feel the pulse of this incredible place, now and into the future.

Tate Modern Garden Project
"The Lesson” or "Embodiment of Joy: A Celebration of Aquatic Bliss"
In the early months of 2023, I proudly unveiled a work designed
specifically for the acclaimed Tate Modern Garden. My sculpture now graces this prestigious space, basking in the glow of the Garden's recent triumphs, including the esteemed Green Flag award and the distinguished Britain in Bloom
title.
Cast in aluminium
Forged meticulously in enduring aluminium, the artwork captures a moment of exuberance as carefree swimmers revel in the tranquillity of the pool. The selection of cold cast aluminium as the medium bestows a timeless quality upon the figures, enhancing the overall aesthetic. Placed
strategically at the heart of the garden's water feature, the sculpted ensemble weaves an enchanting narrative, harmonizing with the natural surroundings in a symphony of form and movement.
In The Tate Modern Garen
The Tate Modern, an icon in the realm of contemporary art, stands as a testament to artistic innovation and cultural resonance. The privilege of having my creation permanently exhibited within its award-winning garden is without a doubt, a zenith in my artistic odyssey. The sculpture, a poignant exploration of human joy and connection with nature, invites patrons to engage in a sensory journey.
